GRK Infra AB has won the contract for the Kulleporten railway bridge located on the Malmbanan between Gällivare and Koskullskulle. Preliminary work will begin in the autumn of 2021, and the project will be completed in autumn 2022.
The new bridge will be built and cast next to the current bridge across Sommarvägen. When the new bridge is launched, all railway traffic will be halted for 72 hours. During that time, the current bridge will be pulled down and the new one will be put in place. “We’re looking forward to carrying out this exciting project with the Swedish Transport Administration,” says Mika Mäenpää, CEO of GRK Infra AB.
